Art and architectural media
Art and architectural design are substantial users of media largely made from clays that are enhanced with polymers typically composed of specialty latex or acrylic based polymers in order to achieve their desired flexibility and workability for modelling work. This drawback together with the need for heat energy for drying and glazing, make conventional modelling material expensive, whilst posing significant adverse environmental impacts and life cycle costs.
In contrast, the art media produced using our technologies are cost effective, self-setting, highly functional and colourable and requiring substantially less heat energy for drying and glazing. Our mineral-based media thus make excellent candidates for producing individual arts as well as multiples of decorative products and architectural models. An added advantage of our media relates to substantial use of waste paper/cardboard as part of media makeup for improving the functionality of the media and enhancing the aesthetic value of artwork.
