Technology-Based Solutions for Containment of Toxic and Hazardous Saline Residuals 
 

Using the MBC technology secure containment of toxic and hazardous saline residuals for safe landfilling. 

 

Capabilities:

  • Mineral-based containment of saline residuals for solidication and stabilisation 

  • Fast setting, low-carbon, cement-compatible mineral-based formulations, proven through field trials at irrigation effluent storage ponds 

  • Production of inert, non-leachable solids for regulated-landfill storage, directly or encapsulation in cement, prior to landfilling

  • Interim, regulatory-compliant containment until PFAS residuals destruction technologies mature and become available at scale


PFAS Residual Categories:

  • Brines from municipal RO and foam fractionation

  • Sludges from GAC and ion-exchange regeneration

  • Fly ash and APC residues from EfW/incineration processes

  • Biosolids and industrial sludges with PFAS or co-contaminants


Deliverables:

Design packages for pilot/field deployment, validation protocols, regulator/stakeholder briefing packs, and safe-implementation guidelines.
